This is just a taster of the results of the Online Color Analysis results for Julie from the USA.

A summary of Julie's Color Analysis

All Julie wanted was to achieve a casual, unfussy look so that she could move and not have to fiddle with her clothes! 

Identifying her skin tone was the primary problem. Ivory skin with freckles, plus some sun damage and redness meant that even two Lancombe professionals disagreed over her undertone! Although she does eventually achieve some golden tones it was difficult to choose makeup that didn't look too obvious and change color on her skin. 

Julie was also going through the trial of growing out a darker warm brown hair colorant so had a mix of tones to cope with. All in all too much color was completely overwhelming! 

She had been determined a Winter many years ago and as soon as I began creating images I could see that she does indeed lean towards Cool tones but heavy color just drains any color from her natural tones. A more delicate range of shades from the Summer palette allowed her own softer coloring to hold it's own!

"Wow! Your result is completely surprising but well justified. I was thinking, maybe Soft Autumn, Summer was not in my thinking at all. That said it's starting to make sense.

In the '80's I was labeled a Winter but  it never felt right, too heavy. I've always had trouble blending my makeup to coordinate well with my clothing now I know why! It's growing on me, I immediately changed my clothes and feel calmer and more put together already. I've noticed that now that I'm wearing the appropriate colors I can wear more jewelry.

With the wrong colors my jewelry stood out not me! My clothes were "wearing me". I have a smattering of both cool and warm clothes in my closet so I will be pruning that ASAP! Julie's look actually leans towards a feminine slightly bohemian style and it was lovely to pull some suggestions from her favorite Coldwater Creek range of clothes which encapsulate the Summer shades.

NB It's easy to assume that Summer coloring has to include blonde hair, not so!! It just means that your coloring is softer and needs a gentler less harsh range of colors to suit!
