A Warm skin tone?

If you have a yellow undertone to your skin then you have a WARM skin tone.

The undertone is the layer under your skin which influences the overall look of your natural coloring and it always stays the same.

This is entirely different to the color of your complexion which is the color of your skin and can be Light, Medium or Dark.

Look at the image above where it shows many familiar faces all with a Warm or golden undertone to their skin.

The depth of their skin will usually influence the strength of the Warm colors that flatter their natural coloring and those they choose to wear. 

How to tell a WARM skin tone?

However light or deep your skin, you are likely to recognize several (rarely all) of these factors if your skin is WARM.

You're instinctively drawn towards Warm colors...

Nature always gets it right and, with a WARM skin tone, you'll be instinctively drawn towards Warm colors.

You're likely to include creams and golds or rich autumn shades in your home decor rather than cool pinks and blues. 

You favor yellow and orange flowers, or this rich orange red bouquet with leaves from the same color palette.

Wearing clothes and makeup from your own color family means that you can get your 'foliage' right too.

You might be SPRING, WARM or AUTUMN...

If you have a Warm skin tone, however light or deep your complexion, then colors with the same warm/golden undertone as your own will flatter your best.

There are 3 main color families with WARM undertones - SPRING, WARM and AUTUMN. The colors are all very similar but get increasingly stronger.

In the photos below we see Kylie with fresh quite bright coloring; Amy Adams (center) with a more mellow medium contrast and Julia (right) with much deeper and a richly blended coloring. The relevant color palettes also get stronger.

Familiar faces with Warm coloring

Your coloring may not be exactly the same as these familiar faces, you may have lighter or deeper hair, your eyes will undoubtedly be a mix of warm shades - but you will always have more than a touch of gold or auburn tones in your hair and always a soft golden tone in your eyes.
