Hi there
Romance isn't at the top of everyone's agenda in February and, although it initially sounded a little silly, the idea of Galentine's Day (13th February) dedicated to close female friendships, has sort of grown on me. It's worth a little effort to develop and maintain good relationships appreciating the support, encouragement and smiles that we come to rely on with our besties!
Today, alongside my regular posts, I'm including a post from the Beauty Spotlight Team, a group of writers who contribute their own expertise in a shared post.
I've been asked to join this group and if you enjoy the diversity I will be including this additional post in the second magazine of the month. Pop along and visit some new websites, there are some gems in there. Let me know if you like this idea.
Valentine's Day this week brings thoughts of wearing RED.
It's not just the color of romance and love, it's also the color of friendship.
In recent years we've heard of 13th February being called Galentine's Day, dedicated to celebrating the best of female friendship and the wonderful women in your life.
But back to basics, if you've shied away from wearing RED, let me show you that there is a shade for everyone. No-one need feel overpowered!
Whether you're a new or regular reader, there's always something new to learn about wearing color.
The most important thing about your color choice is that it should never revolve around fashion or what's in favor this season.
When you identify the color palette that flatters your natural coloring, you'll always look your best.
So if you haven't yet put your toe into the world of Color Analysis, let's take it gently and discover whether you're Warm or Cool - it's your FAST TRACK to Color.
Now the first post from my new colleagues of the Beauty Spotlight Team.
Linda was confused between Warm and Cool and not surprising! She has LIGHT tonal coloring which means she can happily balance between the two.
The most important factor is a light intensity, meaning the colors are lightly saturated! They are certainly not all pale tones just always gentle.
Linda, who is from the USA says:
"I've needed help for a long time and have always been confused with color. Am so looking forward to my fabric swatch and feeling impatient!"
"I got the swatches yesterday. I'd ordered coats in camel and grey and I was able to judge the shades against the fabric swatches. I'm looking forward to having lots of fun - so glad you did my color analysis, such a thorough job! I'm so excited to go forward with a new direction!" Linda, USA
