Hi there
Cold sunshine today, but at least it's bright and dry!! My husband is off on a boys trip with his son for a few days and, apparently, as Europe is even colder than here I'm so pleased not to have been invited!
If you managed a Closet Revamp with me last time then hopefully you are looking ahead to fill the odd gaps in your wardrobe. Just remember that layering is more necessary than ever now as our weather continues to be more extreme and unexpected the world over.
It would have been our late beloved Queen's 98th birthday this week and I make no apologies for looking once again at the color legacy she left us.
If you are feeling warm in your neck of the woods please enjoy!!! Pamela x
Let me show you how to adopt the subtle use of color without actually having to wear colors at all!
There should be no drama involved in Color Analysis; you don't have to change your wardrobe; you don't have to wear bright colors or look as though you've walked straight out of a color swatch!
Once you know your color direction, you can streamline an elegant presentation simply by following my 5 basic steps.
It would have been our late beloved Queen Elizabeth's 98th birthday this week. So I make no apology for repeating this tribute.
I clearly show how she used color in 'work mode' to charmingly connect with the occasion and thus show courtesy to her hosts and visitors.
At the same time, her comment that 'if I wore beige no-one would know who I am!' is particularly delightful!
Although Elena was largely happy with the colors she wore and her frequent use of black, in recent times she began to get more and more confused after being constantly told that she had to be Autumn!
With amber toned eyes this is a frequent misconception and yet warm tones didn't sit well at all with Elena. As you can see from the image below the warm Autumn shades lend a yellow tone to the skin while the deep cool shades clear her complexion.
Elena's skin is certainly Cool toned and the famous 'amber' eyes are what I call 'rose brown'. This is a variation of Cool eyes with a defined deeper gray rim which invariably says Cool. Yes the cool tone is definitely there and all yellow tones blur her beautiful contrast.
"First of all, thank you very much for your work and for your patience! I received all the pictures today, and it was very cool to see the process behind the result 😊
That’s said, I was quite surprised about my season, mostly because that was exactly the season I assumed I had! I actually only got interested in Color Analysis a year or so ago. Before I had a very vague idea about seasons, I just hated when people automatically assumed I’m Autumn, because those colors didn’t quite sit with me at all. I’ve mostly worn black my whole life 😊 Then at one point I started to read about the seasons, tried fabric draping and lipstick drapes and realized, that Winter colors seem to fit best. I told my Mom, and the first thing she said was, “You can’t be Winter, black doesn’t suit you at all!” :D So, I kept searching, trying different colors and getting more and more confused 😊
I actually expected to be just a Cool season, but your explanation about black color makes so much sense now! The recommendations you’ve sent me are amazing, and I’m looking forward to following them" 😊 Elena, Switzerland
with love Pamela x
