Hi there
"Autumn carries more gold in it's pocket than all the other seasons!"
While I don't relish the thought of Winter I certainly appreciate the changing seasons, although perhaps a little too often here! So we're heavily into Fall/Autumn features today.
But I'm pleased to say that I can now present the Cool Neutrals! I hope this will help you to identify and understand basic co-ordination if your skin tone is Cool.
Color Analysis submissions are always heavier pre-Christmas (can't believe I just said that) and, as I hope to be away at some point, please submit by mid November to avoid disappointment.
If your color characteristics are Warm, Deep and Muted then this is the time of the year for you to shine!
Re-create your softness and elegance in the clothes and makeup that you wear. Create color balance and harmony!
Let's not forget gorgeous Mr Autumn with his soft but strong golden undertones and his tousled russet colored hair! Could this be your man in his country classics?
Or find your Mr's best look in the free quiz Color Analysis for Men. Or if you're looking ahead to a Christmas gift book him a professional consultation.
It's easy for me to forget that a tall lady can have just as many problems finding clothes to fit as us petites!
There are many tall ladies that exude confidence but others feel less than feminine when they find themselves towering over their contemporaries.
A nip in the air? Take your Summer tops into Fall / Autumn and far beyond with a bit of clever layering and there's no immediate need to worry about any major changes to your wardrobe.
Versatile items of clothing and separates that can be used throughout the year always earn my seal of approval.
I might not want to wear it head to toe but I'm thrilled to see that leopard print re-appears almost every Fall in some guise and it never fails to raise a smile!
Although leopard has become practically a neutral, we've taken all animal prints to our hearts and can wear them all year round whatever your color palette.
Going grey is something that many of us never tried or even considered before Covid forced our hand to suffer grey or white roots! Now, unless you're going down the home color route we're more or less back on track.
On the other hand many women have adjusted, enjoyed and even embraced the idea of being color free as well as saving a fortune!
If you're still confused about whether you are Warm or Cool, well, you may just fall into one of the Color Families where it really doesn't matter!
After all, because we're not made in molds and cut to a pattern, many of us fall between dress sizes. So it is with color. You might not be completely Warm or completely Cool, you may be sort of in the middle!
Certainly Kathy didn't align with any of the Seasons (2 are Warm, 2 are Cool) but her brilliant jewel-like eyes jumped out from her photos. With a clear fair skin and absolutely stunning eyes she clearly needed color clarity to offer balance.
The Bright or Clear Color Family consists of colors that have little to no undertone and give the best possible clarity. It doesn't mean that all the colors are bright and 'garish' just that they fall midway between Warm and Cool and are not really influenced by either blue or yellow. Without the influence of an undertone or any form of 'softening', the colors can be clear and intense.
The photo on the right (below) shows how Kathy's lovely coloring shines with the clear colors as opposed to the softer shades which flatten. Read what Kathy has to say and other Color Analysis Testimonials here..
Where has this year gone, see you in November!
with love 'til then
