Hi there
Summertime and the living is easy! We're halfway through the year so let's forget the strife in the world and enjoy the warmth of friends and family, looking and feeling the best we can. Many of you will be celebrating the 4th July, have a wonderful time!
Although luscious lime and seasonal brights may be calling to some of you, simple clothes in simple colors work for many others. Knowing your color direction allows you to make the best of yourself whichever your choice.
I'm also looking at Autumn and Winter - but don't worry, these palettes are not limited to the seasons of the year, they're just as wearable in the beautiful Summer weather. I'll show you how to choose lighter fabrics.
Full on Summer vibes then - enjoy!
Let me show you how to adopt the subtle use of color without actually having to wear colors at all!
There should be no drama involved in Color Analysis; you don't have to change your wardrobe; you don't have to wear bright colors or look as though you've walked straight out of a color swatch!
Once you know your color direction, you can streamline an elegant presentation simply by following my 5 basic steps.
Summertime and the living is easy!
Do you wonder how to wear Winter colors in Summer to complement your strong natural coloring?
Well don't worry, because if this is your color palette it's certainly not just for the icy depths of Winter. These brilliant bolds are perfect for the searing heat of high Summer too!
Some fabulous color mixes in here ready for 4th July! Have a wonderful time!
Can you wear Autumn colors in Summer? Yes you certainly can!
When Color Analysis began, SPRING, SUMMER, AUTUMN and WINTER were merely convenient names to describe the color groups that were put together.
In fact, the idea was brilliant because, not only do the colors distinctly reflect the changing seasons, but it strongly enforces the fact that Color is a completely natural medium.
Are you concerned about upper arm fat or feel that you have thick arms overall?
Even if we're stuck at home it's Summer and for many of you temperatures are climbing high. It's time to show some flesh!
As we age fat does tend to settle in the upper arms however conscious you are of overall health and weight - in fact weight isn't always a factor. And of course softened muscle tone means that the flesh on our arms is inevitably softer, fleshier and more 'baggy'. read more...
Pamela…WOW, thank you so much!!! This makes a lot of sense! My mom had the original “Color Me Beautiful” book and at just 13 I began the descent down the wrong color path!
I always thought my hazel eyes, fair skin and stronger hair color were antagonizing flaws—turns out, it was because I was boxing myself into an incorrect warm color palette!! Then came the tanning, hair lightening, etc. When my hair was strawberry blonde, I actually looked like a strawberry! It had me very confused!
I've received lots of compliments wearing Cool colors but didn't know if it was me or the outfit they were complimenting!
According to the “old book,” they were the “wrong” colors, ruled out for so long! For many years I gave up and assumed I was just a “true neutral.”
I really appreciate the explanations, color theory and contrasts. I've suddenly realized that I naturally gravitate towards many of the swatch colors you provided! I cannot wait to go shopping again feeling far more confident!!! Thank you so much for putting in the work!❤️ Jessica, USA
Pamela says: Jessica has always been aware when her hair wasn't working for her, too dark, too golden, and it's been an eye opener to know that actually she wasn't too far away from getting it right. It's just very difficult to be objective about yourself, a little direction often sorts it out very easily. Take at look at Online Color Analysis.
